Contemporary worship music collective, Maverick City Music and Gospel music icon, Kirk Franklin, were among the big winners at the 2023 Grammy Awards which was held yesterday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Maverick City Music took home four (4) Grammys emerging top winner in the Christian/Gospel music category including Best Contemporary Christian Music Album “Breathe”. They bagged three Grammy Awards with Kirk Franklin for their collaborative projects including, Best Gospel Album “One Deluxe”, Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance “Fear Is Not My Future” and Best Gospel Song “Kingdom”.

Meanwhile, The Tennessee State University Marching Band won the Best Root Gospel album for their project, “The Urban Hymnal”.
