Bio: One of the deepest dichotomies that we have to wrestle with is the rift between our knowledge and our hope, our understanding and our lack of it, and our faith and our worry. It is a constant struggle to find the anxious tension between responsibility and inability.

Eric of Fepeste is a constant worrier and with three kids and a wife, he is never without something to feed his anxiety. By day he does what he can to provide for his family as a whiskey distiller. By night he finds himself distilling his worries into song in the hopes he can drink them down so as to pass them out.

His new album, "What You Don't Know", is his most recent attempt to try to wrap his mind around omnipotence and providence, rest and courage, faith and doubt, and the simple inability to see around the corners of the future.

Background & Inspiration: From Fepeste

I'm a 37-year-old husband and dad who lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Music has meant so much to me throughout my life and God has used it mightily in his sanctification of me. But, it's only been recently that I have gathered (or He has given) enough courage to share some of my personal songs with the world. I write songs because I feel compelled to. There's so much other great music out in the world that mine certainly isn't needed. It's great that my wife and kids like my music, and that should be enough, but it's always the artist's dream that others might resonate with, and be blessed by, their art.My first album "All Glory", was written back in 2014 after a painful trial for my wife and me, and a crisis of faith. The songs were written as a way to worship and to process through some of the great truths of Scripture that I began rediscovering and at times learning for the first time. Most of the album was recorded with the help of my friend Jesse in a large, beautiful house, but I was too scared to release it back in 2014. Instead, it sat until 2022 when I finally finished it.This album, "What You Don't Know", followed very quickly after. Other than a couple of parts contributed by my friends Nick Webber and Daniel Perez (from the band A Place For Owls), and additional vocals by my friend Thea Noelle, the entire album was written, recorded, mixed, and mastered by myself, mostly out of necessity, for better or worse (probably worse). Thematically, much of the album deals with my worries and anxieties, and most of the songs began as prayers to God. I process a lot of my emotions and thoughts by writing lyrics and trying to create songs with them.

I hope you enjoy the album and that it blesses you.
