Beyond her musical prowess, Sabrina Ponte is a multifaceted individual, excelling not only in singing but also as a signed model and actress. Her achievements extend to the Miss America Organization, where she has achieved remarkable success and is currently vying for the Miss Tennessee crown. However, Sabrina’s true passion lies in making a difference within her community, and she leverages the power of music to accomplish that goal. Sabrina, congratulations on the release of your new single, “The Good Guy”! It’s evident that the song carries a heartfelt message about appreciating the good men in our lives. Could you tell us more about the inspiration behind this song and how you hope it will resonate with listeners?

Thank you! The inspiration was my dad and I wanted to give recognition to the good guys out there. This song serves as a reminder not only of the good men who took part in building us into the women we are today, but to keep your standards high and remember there are good guys out there. To the young boys listening to this as well I hope it serves as an example of the type of man than can aspire to be for the females in their lives. 

In addition to your musical talents, you are also a signed model/actress and have achieved significant success in the Miss America Organization. How do you balance your various passions, and how does your music contribute to your goal of making a difference within your community?

I want to use my platform to continue to make a difference in our community and be a positive influence. The Miss America Organization helps me tie everything together and I am looking forward to hopefully winning the job of Miss Tennessee and being able to propel my passion for helping others through that outlet.

It’s inspiring to hear about your dedication to giving back, particularly through your fundraising efforts for organizations like The Children’s Miracle Network and your advocacy for mental health. Could you share more about your involvement in these causes and how you utilize your platform to create positive change?

I am currently a clinical psychology graduate student and plan on becoming a licensed therapist. My goal is to help eliminate the negative stigma associated with mental health and promote prevention. I believe we should work on mental health conditioning like we do our physical health. 

The Good Guy” opens with a gentle fingerstyle melody and showcases your light and airy vocals. Can you walk us through the creative process behind the song, from its inception to its final production? What elements did you incorporate to create the comforting ambiance that draws listeners in?

I wrote the song and had an idea of what I wanted in mind. I recorded it in the studio and then worked with my producer Dallas Jack to find the sound I wanted and bring it to life. 

The lyrics of “The Good Guy” express a sense of quiet confidence and self-worth. How do you hope this song will empower listeners and encourage them to uphold high standards in their relationships? Are there any particular messages you want to convey to young boys who may be listening to the song?

I am all about leading by example. I am grateful for the standards my family raised me with and that I uphold. I hope people are able to realize the standards they deserve and guys and girls are able to see what it is to be a good guy. 

You have an impressive background in music, having graduated from both the New England Conservatory of Music and Berklee College of Music. How have these educational experiences shaped your artistic journey and contributed to your growth as a musician?

I am very grateful for my musical education and training. From vocal technique to music literacy to music business to name a few I have learned a lot over the years.

With your previous releases, such as “Rodeo Heart,” “Head Over Heels,” and “Chance of Whiskey,” you’ve received positive feedback from the media and press. How does “The Good Guy” differ from your previous work, and what can fans expect from this latest release?

It is a personal release to me as I have dedicated it to my dad. I want to be able to connect with my listeners and let them know there is more coming! 

Looking ahead, what are your future plans and aspirations as an artist? Do you have any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re excited about?

I should have more music coming this summer and as of now am enjoying the journey.
