Afrobeats superstar, Mayorkun releases his first music project of the year ‘Certified Loner (No Competition)’ on 17 June.

‘Certified Loner’, is made available on all digital platforms via Sony Music Entertainment/Black Butter Records UK. This new track is about the confirmation of Mayorkun’s status as an artist who has come of age, who can handle himself on his own. It is a message to the Nigerian music industry as it is also a celebration of his abundance of talent “Nobody get time for competition, nobody can take my position” he asserts in ‘Certified Loner’. Popularly known as the Mayor of Lagos, Mayorkun’s fresh single is a follow up to his critically acclaimed sophomore album, Back in Office which peaked at No1 with the focus track, ‘Holy Father’ gaining over 40 million streams across platforms, topping the radio charts for five weeks consecutively and spent 13 weeks on the UK Afrobeats chart.

Mayorkun is regarded as an authority in his art, his discography continues to swell. He gets into character as one of the country’s finest creatives in music to deliver this Amapiano-inspired track that has already arrived in a whirlwind fashion.

‘Certified Loner’ looks to be a hit already, as the track launched on social media with the teaser sound, it was quickly stormed by music fans and it featured on the app’s trending segment, now at almost three hundred thousand creations in just a few hours.
