The 42nd Australian Songwriting Contest is NOW OPEN for entries!

Please click one of the two links below to access an entry platform. Enter your best work right now, before the Christmas rush. Then, if you have time in the break between Christmas and the New Year, you can quickly submit any more of your latest inspired pieces. We’re excited to hear what this 2022 Contest will present us with!

We were impressed with last year’s winners, and when this 2022 Contest has been judged, we will be seeking to reward Top 10 placegetters with increased exposure. Any of those who wish to, will be allowed to send us links to their successful song, so we can pop them up on our site. This will allow more people to hear your work, and that’s what songwriters need.

Participating in Australia’s longest-running contest for songwriters, and enjoying the chance to win fantastic prizes (including a Maton Guitar for an ASA Member, and $3,000 cash for Songwriter of the Year from APRA), is an end in itself. In addition, there will be the chance to perform at the National Songwriting Awards, which feature all Category winners and honour all Top 10 placegetters on stage. So get cracking on your entries now!
