We are heading down to the South for this week’s Fresh Artist Friday. Today’s feature is none other than Atlanta rapper T-Rock. T-Rock is no rookie in the game. You might recognize him from his work with Three 6 Mafia, who helped him burst onto the scene when he was just 17 years old. Since then, T-Rock has continued to build a name for himself, flushing out an impressive rap catalogue and unapologetically repping the South.
The self described battle rapper turned hitmaker is coming off of the release of a brand new joint-album with C-Rock and Lord Infamous. His most recent solo album, Last Man Standing, is full of tracks that prove how well seasoned and experienced T-Rock is. One of the standout tracks is the song “Bring It Back” where T-Rock lets that aggressive flow the South is known for loose. His lyricism has withstood the test of time, still delivering clever word play and hard hitting lines over 25 years into his career. This song has an accompanying music video, which you can watch below, that provides some hard-hitting imagery to pair with the song’s bold and powerful flow. If you have been missing some of that iconic Southern gangster rap from the 90s, look no further because T-Rock has you covered.
