[Favorite Song Lyrics: song “Superstition” with perfect lyrics for karaoke]
[Intro]
Take away my pride
Leave nothing behind
Tear apart what you believe
[Pre-Chorus]
Fate comes calling you, beware, beware
[Chorus]
Superstition spoken in tongues
Defeated, broken, mangled and torn
Far beyond all the things that you know
Superstition, harder than stone
[Verse 1]
Wall to wall is where you tread
Your words of dust say everything
Like dying flames, the dread descends
Hold your heart in your bloody hands
[Bridge]
Superstition
[Verse 2]
Nothing is what it seems
Tunnel visions, mind attraction
Beyond the things you know
Destination, pain reaction
[Pre-Chorus]
Fate comes calling you, beware, beware
[Chorus]
Superstition spoken in tongues
Defeated, broken, mangled and torn
Far beyond all the things that you know
Superstition, harder than stone
FAQ & Knowledge Song “Superstition”
ℚ. What have the artists said about the song?
Max Cavalera:
This song was inspired by the Superstition Mountains, which is like an hour from where I live in Arizona. I’ve been there many times—there’s a lake nearby, and we go there as a family on the weekends. I did a lot of reading about it, and it’s a really mysterious place.
There’s the old story about the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine. Supposedly, there’s even Aztec gold buried there somewhere. There’s a dark presence to it, but it’s also beautiful. As far as the music, it’s old-school death-thrash in the vein of [Sepultura’s] Arise and Beneath the Remains, with a very cool tribal ending.
