- Hi and welcome to this interview. Tell us about your latest release Into the Badlands.Hi everybody!
"Into the Badlands" is our new album, it contains 13 tracks composed with the desire to experiment a powerful electronic pop with some hard rock references of Japanese manga/anime inspiration, with a female voice that ranges between light melodic and sometimes more rhythmic pop and lyrical parts. The melodic lines are always very harmonious, melodious and catchy. The lyrics are in English with some parts in Japanese.Like life that is full of ups and downs, happy moments and hard moments, moments of speed and moments of reflection, this album is an alternation of songs now energetic, now intimate. Lights and shadows that follow one another and then converge towards one place: the "Badlands" ... an ideal symbol of that battlefield that can be our life .. battle that we can play down with our spirit and our music. From this album we carried out 7 singles and music videos: Tales & Tales, All I Need, Crystal Tears, Limitless Change, Hope in Fire, Into the Badlands, and on next October we will release Distante da chi.- How would you describe your sound? It is a crossover of electronic pop, hard rock and J Rock, we also wink at metal in some songs.- What do you write about?I never talk about love in our songs! Sometimes I talk about sex, inner battles, dreams, visions, hopes and difficult moments that I have experienced and that I have overcome by accepting “Limitless Changes” (one of the most beautiful songs and videos).- What do you listen to when you are home?Machine Gun Kelly, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Gershwin and the music we think could be useful for to have inspiration.- Your favourite live performance so far? When we played in Moscow in the Adrenaline stadium, the biggest venue in Europe, in front of 8000 people.- Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage. We were doing an acoustic live in a pub, in a reduced formation with vocals, bass and guitar. The bassist Alessandro Galizi and the guitarist of the time Giuseppe Ricotta started drinking, and they got so drunk that they didn't understand anything, they laughed and made random notes, while I tried to sing at my best on music that had become almost cacophonous.- Your favourite albums?Memento Mori of Depeche Mode.- A musician you would like to meet for a beer?Dave Gahan and Martin Gore.- What would you ask for backstage, if you were the most important band on earth?Rivers of alcohol, chocolate fountains, whirlpool, masseur, and many fans pamper us.- What are your plans for the near future?Promote the new album that has just been released, and launch the seventh video "Distante da Chi" in October. But we are also already working on new songs...we are very creative!
