Boogie Woods was born on February 22, 1999 in Trotwood, Ohio where he still resides today. He is a Hip-Hop recording artist falling under the subgenre of Melodic Trap. Boogie was first interested in making music and began writing songs at the age of 11, but would not officially record his first song until the age of 13. Boogie Woods credits his entire family for exposing him to music at a very young age and sparking his initial interest in creating it. He recalls being exposed to Gospel, Christian Hip-Hop, Rap, Neo-Soul, Soul, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Country, and Alternative music from various members of his family.
