Hip Hop News: DaniLeigh Arrested for DUI Hit & Run in Miami (2024)

DaniLeigh did not have a very nice end to her Memorial Day weekend.

The singer born Danielle Curiel, was arrested on Tuesday morning for allegedly driving under the influence and injuring a rider in a hit-and-run, who was on a moped. According to police report obtained by TMZ, witnesses saw Dani “traveling at a high rate of speed” while “weaving in and out of traffic” near Miami Beach early Tuesday morning.

She allegedly struck somebody who was on a motorized scooter and dragged the moped for about a block before someone reported the scene and she was stopped later by an officer. According to the report, the cop noticed the smell of alcohol, and had her take a field sobriety test and a Breathalyzer test which she failed.

The Breathalyzer registered blood alcohol levels of 0.145 and 0.148, almost twice the legal limit, TMZ reports citing the police. The cops claim the victim was treated at a local hospital — the man suffered a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture.

Dani, who is DaBaby’s ex and mother to one of his children, was jailed on three felony charges: driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and DUI damage to property.
